Northeast "gangsters"

From what I've heard mate, from a good source, he was a bit of a bully and he wasn't what you would call a hard fella.

He was big, but a lot of it was all steroids and not a lot of power.

He cornered some fella in Newcastle, an associate, and he had a few pals with him and despite hitting this lad a good few times and the lad not hitting him back, Graham couldn't put him down. Apparently Graham did a bit of that, turning up to level a lone fella with a few to back him up with the message being hit back and you'll get it from all of us.

Now, Lee Duffy, different animal. He was 18 stone of pure aggression and hard as fuck and psychotic. He went up to Newcastle, on his own, and started smacking Graham's doormen around. Graham was called to say come and help your employees and he thought better of it and stayed put. By all accounts Duffy would have peddled Graham quite comfortably - wouldn't have been a contest.

Ernie as well would have had no trouble despatching Graham, although I would say there was no one in Duffy's league as a street fighter including Ernie.
Never knew Duffy but your first 3 paragraphs are pretty spot on

What's the social media argument then, just for us non Facebook wankers
The Sayers keep saying Paddy Conroy is a nonce. Conroy is saying he isnt and is going to the coppers over it. So the sayers are now calling him a grass.

Just read about how Duffy was murdered, how the fuck do you stab someone in front of a crowd of people and get found not guilty?

Aye heard similar mate. Bewick you mean? Viv more myth than matter it seems. Even in that video doesn't put Stu Watson down with a full surprise attack.
Don't know much about Duffy tbh, what's the back story/craic with him?

Duffy wasn't what you would call a gangster. He was a street fighter who is probably a one-off in the North east. Apparently the Sayers were involved in getting Duffy up to Newcastle to sort Graham out. Graham was preventing the Sayers lot dealing in his bars and so they wanted someone to give Graham a clip.

By all accounts, of the well known fellas in the North East no one would have lived with Duffy in a one-on-one. A genuine hard lad and nasty with it and very game.

I think when he was 18ish he lost a couple of street fights when he was coming through, but after that no one could touch him and no one wanted to go anywhere near him. He used to walk into a pub and clear the place, and I mean pubs where you had a few well known lads in who considered themselves to be very handy. No one fucked with Duffy.

There's lads at work from Boro/Billingham who reckon Duffy was a fkn animal like, few stories of him battering lads for nowt in bars if he didn't like the look of them.

Same. Wtf! He walked into a police station and said "I did it! "

The lad who did it is (or was) one of the main lads in the Boro Frontline. He's the Boro lad pictured in Rome with stab wounds in his back. He got off on self defence. Duffy used to terrorise him every time he saw him and it came to a head one night.

Ah well the plot thickens. Like the mentality of these gorillas. Nee offence @muggboots

Is it true he was getting battered so resorted to a knife?

Brian Cockerill had a bit of a set-to with Lee Duffy until they teamed up to start taxing drug dealers.

Not much fun being dead at 26 - he must have had little intelligence to go on the way he did - almost inevitable he would die young when you hear about him.

This series of books has a lot of detail on those in the NE.

Yeah, he was on the wrong end of a hiding. From what I was told the knife was passed to him by someone else.

A lot of people, a shit load of people, wanted Duffy out the way because he made a lot of people's lives difficult and embarrassed a lot of well known people as no one wanted to take Duffy on and so people lost face.

Sounds a familiar story to a lad called mad shorty from Washington. Had his foot hacksawed off iirc. These hard lads can't be doing with people without fear;) doesn't fit with the plan.

What knob.

???

Want to try that one again marra?
