FFS.... he has not been found guilty of anything and until (or should I say if) he does he should be allowed to continue in his profession. Would your workplace send you on gardening leave if you charged with anything by the police! This site boils my piss sometimes...!
This isn't any profession, he is in the public eye, these are sexual offences, we have thousands of kids attending games every week. The club has done itself no favours here.

It wasn't an issue at Swindon. It still isn't an issue at West Ham, where Di Canio is still revered.

It only became trouble when a superannuated Labour politician and a local trade union placeman decided to cause mischief.

I wish they'd listened to the ones causing mischief, maybe we'd have avoided the De Fanti/Di Canio era of shite.

Rubbish mate.... soz like! He has only been charged with something mate, it certainly doesn't mean he's done it... and how the fuck will it do the club no favours...? mind boggles! If he's found guilty then the club will sack him...

Which he has NOT been found guilty of yet. What's he gonna do? Start a run down the wing, then suddenly stop, and start walking over, and trying it on with some lass in the front row during a game? FFS IF he is found guilty, and not a single person on here knows, THEN he will get punished. Until then, let the club and Johnson decide if an innocent man at the minute, can do his job which he obviously wants to do

Which ever way they went with this it would have been criticised. I have some sympathy to the club regarding this tbh.

The club were and are in a no win situation.
Yep the initial statement and handling was fine. With Advocaat coming in and given the circumstances and his mandate wanted his best players which is understandable - the club accepted this position in waiving the suspension this was a purely pragmatic business decision not a moral one. There was no change in their stance. People suddenly taking moral grievance with this now is ridiculous. Nothing has changed. It's already done.

Wasting your keyboard strokes marra!

There are some buffoons on this board marra!

It's stupid and based on footballing desperation. If this was someone shit like Buckley he'd be suspended straight away and everyone would be agreeing it was the right step to take. I hope he doesn't play for us again until this is all sorted out for good.

My god...

if charged with the same then 100%.

Please explain that bit to me.

What??? it's the basis of our f***ing democratic constitution and rule of law!

Another fool on the hill!

It's ongoing. Surely you must realize, given his profession and the allegations, it would be wise to take him out of public attention?

What? I don't think it's appropriate that he should be playing for us under these circumstances, it's hardly a mental suggestion is it.

Certainly not appropriate mate.

I disagree mate. Put yourself in the same position. If the club asked me my thoughts on playing and i said i was innocent, i would want to get back on the field straight away to keep some normality, and also because if i did get suspended, it would make me look guilty, and that the club aren't backing/believing me.
