So there's an MD and a Chief Exec - is there some overlap here ?

Also a coach with no international playing experience and a chief selector who was a one cap wonder.

Seems like a strange set up to me

You don't necessarily have to have played the game at the highest level to be an administrator or selector. Didn't we have some disastrous period in the lat 90s when they had Gooch and Gatting as as selection "Dream Team"?
Fletcher was hardly a work class cricketer but look what he was/is as a coach

True, but as a general rule it would help if we had someone close to the playing side of things who understands what playing international cricket is all about.

As for the admin side of things, it does seem like a jobs for the boys organisation

Agree to a point. An appreciation of the game yes, but experience of the highest level? Not necessarily.

Agree 100% with the job for the boys thing though
