Egg chasers of the SMB

Our pick and drive rugby is woeful.

Even at county level forwards are told to get two pods either side of the breakdown to give the 9 options and bring in decoy runners from the backs

England never seem to do this.

I'm always astounded how one-dimensional it is. I think they just rely on their ability to maul/scrum/manhandle. in reality once they are on the deck the ruck is slow, and wales are particularly good at slowing the ball down.

Happy with the first XV but I cannot for the life of me understand the substitutes.

What happens if a winger or fullback gets injured after 5 minutes? There no cover at all.

One of the reasons it turned into a rout last time in Cardiff is because we had no wing cover and ended up with Tuilagi out there.

While I'm delighted to see Cipriani back on the mix and rate him highly, surely it would have made sense to put Slade on the bench to cover 10/12/13 then you could have a winger or fullback on the bench (e.g. Nowell on the bench and Watson could move to fullback if needed).

With this selection, presumably an injury to any of the back 3 will mean Joseph on the wing, which just won't work.

The Telegraph said Jack Nowell is involved but he's not named in the 23

I'd imagine they'd put Burrell on the wing tbh if needed and just slot 36 in at 12.

Or Tom Croft as a very left field wing replacement  He is f***ing rapid, to be fair!

I know it's no good if we're getting beat well going onto 60 minutes. But we have a far stronger bench.

Or am I clutching at straws

Woke up this morning with schoolboy levels of excitement! Really can't wait for this tonight.

Please don't let me down SL

God knows what I'll be like when the World Cup starts.

yep..can't wait
Still think we can win, though seem to be in a minority.

press doing a marvellous job stirring the custard. Catt and Edwards trading metaphorical blows on tactics. f***ing genius man.

Utterly predictable gatland and Edwards stirring the pot in the build up to a test match.
Very similar when England or the Lions go to Aus/NZ

It is. Catt cool as fuck basically said I don't know what he's complaining about

I'm pleased that Garcès is a much better ref than Walsh and hopefully won't let the crowd dictate the breakdown like that wanker did two years ago.

Open roof too.....reduces the crowd pressure. hopefully.

If we do win, given massive injury list and the fact it's in Cardiff it would be a huge blow to Wales ahead of the WC group game.
Still think England will win that game regardless of tonight, but would really crank up the pressure of Gatland

I love Mike Catt. I read an interview with him and he was asked his most embarrassing moment. He said most people will remember me being run over by Jonah, but my worst moment on a rugby pitch was winging a 20 yard bullet pass....right at the linesman.

Yeah, that fecker Walsh. His mrs must have been rogered by and Englishman.

I might have an outside bet on the lads....what a blow that would be to win in Cardiff.

potentially massive, given Englands injury list and its in Cardiff.

Still think looking at our bench we have a decent chance tonight

and at least Steve Walsh is nowhere to be seen tonight :)

I think we have the edge on them in the tight, just got to stop them disrupting the breakdown. keep biggar under pressure so he can't distribute, keep kicks accurate and keep turning their wingers around. In defence we really have to be massive in contact. jeez I have goosebumps!

ha'penny is off-form here so if we can get him under the high ball....who knows.
