Effectively a semi final, winners plays Oz on Sunday.

India batting first are 165/9 off 44 overs.

Broad, Finn and Ali with 2 wickets apiece.

Finn with three, sorry.

200 all out.

Unbelievable economy from Anderson -9 overs for 24 runs!

Brilliant by England

It is unfortunate the way the draw has worked out, because on quick pitches in Brisbane and Perth England will beat times like India, unfortunately we don't play on those grounds in the tournament.

I remained worried about Ali at the top, he gets out to some horrendous shots

Also Taylor is batting too high IMO, not convinced by him on these wickets I must admit.

perfect opportunity to prove me wrong here though

This pitch is hideous to bat on. I'm surprised India got 200 here

Pitch isn't good but I'd wager the Aussies would have knocked this off.
Taylor needs to bat through now and hope for some support.
How Bopara still gets opportunities is beyond me.

Excellent work again Ravi Bopara, fully justifying his place on board the circus with the ECB
It's frightening how many chances that lad has had mind.
I thought his selection was due to him offering some overs (not that it should have swayed it for him) but it seems he's there purely to bat.
Surely stokes is a far better option.

I guess Ballance is injured, cos they cant be picking Bopara in front on him. Its not like Bopara does anything with the ball. He's total gash

I've just noticed he didn't bowl today adding yet another valuable contribution to the team. Staggering how he gets so many chances. I wouldn't have him anywhere near the Durham team, something I've said for a very long time

Bopara has to be dropped really, I think that is fair to say, had enough chances.

Taylor been brilliant here, I still think he is one place too high, especially against better sides.

I would have Ballance went fit at 3, then move Taylor down.

I am still not totally convinced with Ali as an opener, could put Ali at 6 and have Hales open.

Options there

Top effort from these two.

Nice to see England players actually playing spin well; think the commentators just said the two spinners have bowled 17 overs for 85 with just one wicket.

Agree with Taylor, he's the best player of spin we have - would like to have him in the middle overs preferably.

Taylor is class mind. Been really weird how he's been treated by England since making his debuts in both formats. Deserved a chance sooner than he has

If we fuck it up here man
