Tbh I thought the game itself on the whole was quite dull. The finish however was cracking, Henriques must feel like a right doughnut.

It was more of a contest between bat and ball than a lot of t20 games. I suppose with canberra being a relatively unused pitch in Australian cricket it was a better leveller. Scorchers batted well at the top and sixers well at the end.

It changed hands 4 times in the last 3 overs which was pretty incredible. Firstly bollinger cock up, then the lyon wickets, then coulter-nile/carberry boundaries, then lee's potential hat-trick.

Then the last ball could have been a super over or win for perth.

Am I the only one to notice that A J Tye was voted as the find of the tournament. Pity we couldn't keep him at Chester le St always thought he was a cut above the rest of the NEPL.

Big cricket fan, but I don't know anything about club cricket in north east, as never really played much. I am from Chester-Le-Street though, the standard must be pretty decent of this lad was playing? How long ago was it?

So do Aussie lads just come over for the summer to play a bit, would he be earning any money?

He was the pro at cls for about 3 years don't know if he made much money like just improving his game as the NEPL is a good standard of cricket.

They earn decent coin some of them. Felling had an Aussie opener last year, he was on a few quid.

Ah fair play, there was an Aussie who looked similar who used to work on the bar in the clubhouse sometimes, must of been him.
