This is not where Ricky Ponting is about

No idea if it's the BBC f***ing up or if he actually said it but in reference to egos in the England time, talking to KP he said:

""You wouldn't probably don't even rank in the top four."

He did say it.

They were talking about egos at the time in the England team of last year. Ponting was talking about egos and said to KP that he was known for having one ..... they he talked about other people in the England team at that time and KP saying that although he did have an ego he probably wasn't in the top 3. Ponting then gave a list of the three which actually extended to four as he said a right arm spinner, two fast bowlers and a bloke who stand behind the wicket wearing pads.

Then he made that comment - talking about having an ego and he also said if I remember there's nothing particularly wrong with it, I think

I believe he said that thing. It's more how badly he allegedly worded it I'm laughing at.

I don't get what you find funny

He was just talking about the egos in the England dressing room, and said having an ego is a good thing, and most top players have egos, and he is spot on

what's your point?

End of the day the clowns at the ECB tried to ruin KP, only fair that KP is allowed to do his own thing.

Morgan mustn't have an ego if you believe KP, bet he's glad that got brought up today.

KP reckons he's over his knee injury and used Sangakarra as an example to say he could still be playing in 4 years time. I'd love the ECB to say earn a place and for him to knuckle down at Surrey or anywhere else given that he hasn't got a contract. Neither will blink and childishly blame each other and this will drag on for another summer though.

He is

It doesn't detract from him being a boring bastard mind

He still thinks he should player for England, he hasn't played a proper game in a year.

Still class as far as I'm concerned. He seems to be enjoying his time over in Australia, as I'm a big fan of his I'm pleased to see him doing well and enjoying it.

Yea, I'm not a fan particularly but it's good to see him. TBH part of the interest in BBL is seeing the old top players kp+freddie+Brett Lee enjoying themselves and having a chat. I think freddie was run out today while 'on the mike'.

I thought KP and Ponting chatting was good fun, Ponting was good. In the end KP got a bit boring, apparently he's great mates with everyone and loves everyone to bits apart from Andy Flower and a couple unnamed who are no longer in the England set up, but he loves everyone absolutely loves them and they're great mates yadda yadda yadda - it got tiresome at that point.

Sick of hearing this ballsack drag England through the dirt. My sympathy for him is totally spent.

Anyone catch Jonathan Trott's interview today?

After hitting 176 not out for the Lions, batting for 9 hours in 30 degree heat, he said he was just happy to play and try to earn the right to play for the senior team again, by scoring runs.

What a great attitude. Compare and contrast with Pietersen and his media circus.

The ECB continue to do a good job at doing that. Next chapter is the forthcoming world cup.

The aussies must be laughing their tits off. Wonder how much it cost them........

Anything but according to my brother who lives in Melbourne. The English players overall seem to be very popular. Crowds for the Melbourne derby games in the last 10 days have been excellent as well

.

Hope he's back playing for the senior team soon. He was class up at Durham in the LVCC game.

Kev's accepted his silver and carried on dragging the national team thro the mud. Exactly what they wanted. I hope he was paid well.

They should have thought about that before they started slagging KP off whilst he was gagged. Like I say, those clowns representing our country are doing a good job at making us a laughing joke at present hence why for now I'm partly glad Ben Stokes isn't part of it.

Yeah, the English players seem to have done well with the exception of Hales and Flintoff. The commentators seem to love chatting to them and having a bit of a laugh. They really seem to think highly of Stokes.

I liked it when Flintoff got his 46, pretty much commentated all the way through it, he just seemed to love being out in the middle batting in front of a big crowd. Laughing like a little kid when he hit his first 6 of the Big Bash. My favourite moment was when he played and missed and said "ah, you c***"

There's arnly KP still rattling on like.......planting sly little seeds.........and getting paid for it........by the aussies ffs. I'm sure he's very good friends with owld Ricky tho so no harm done. His pal Morgan must be chuffed to be dragged into it n'arl.

Makes me laugh that people will defend literally owt Kev does like.
