Defoe

You don't think we can compete with Toronto as a football club?

There's plenty we can offer that they can't, whether he'd want to come will depend how many other clubs are in for him.
I think your swerving the main concept here. Location clearly is a big thing for Defoe and unfortunately no matter how much you dislike it, Sunderland isnt a very attractive city.

How can he make chances without the ball?
Movement, I understand why strikers moving about would be a foreign concept.

Do you know this for a fact, or are you making it up?

He doesn't have to live in Sunderland.

Do you know it for fact that he does?

Roy Keane even said location makes it difficult to sign players.

Can't remember Roy Keane trying to sign Defoe.

You're the one stating for a fact he won't leave London (despite more than half the clubs he's played for being based outside London), I assumed you must have a reason for that. Seems like you've just made it up.

I remember an interview he did when he was talking about 'the norveners' in the England squad and I am sure he said he wouldn't play for a northern team.

Where did I state it's a fact? All I inputted was common sense and your holding me to ransom over the fact he obviously prefers the big city lights.

As for half of his clubs outside of London, other then the beautiful Toronto, I wouldn't exactly say Portsmouth and Bournemouth are far from the smoke. He's also played over 300 games in London compared to the 50 outside.

He will come and Wickham will have to wipe his ass. Class player beyond words~ He will come...you watch lass!

No idea why people constantly think he wouldnt leave london- he went to portsmouth and toronto and has never stated that he only wants to play in london, no idea where the idea has come from but its constantly repeated on here

It's an excuse used by some who won't admit lack of ambition. One thing that footballers care bout is ££££'s, doesn't matter where those ££££'s come from either.

As long as he has good movement, our current crop seem so static at times it's incredible

We have intelligent midfielders such as AJ & Giacc who could link up well with him and create some chances he can finish off

Although, it'll probably not happen due to wage demands
