Lets turn it around.

Won nowt for 40 years.
4 games in Europe
15 and 19 points
8-0 defeat a few weeks ago
loads of relegations

Yet:
40000 +
Raising money for MH17 lads
Chanting for Colin Cooper in a Derby match
Won fans of the year of some such thing this year
Sell out away games
Respected throughout football

There is so much more too. The slugs and liars must not be allowed a free run. Salt and crush them.

but we have gid pink seats nd that....may as well burn the f***ing SOL out and claim the insurance money

I only became a Sunderland fan by proxy through my father. As a kid, I grew up with full rights to Liverpool or Everton. My dad took me to my first match - Liverpool vs Sunderland. Despite arriving as a 10 year old Liverpool well-wisher, I left as a Sunderland fan. That was solely due to Sunderland's support whilst losing the match. The players were crap but the fans drew me in. Possibly the best thing about this club in my lifetime so anyone questioning the fans needs to question themselves. Even the other week at Palace, we were dire despite winning but the away supporters were immense. I have lost count of the amount of hammerings I have watched the team receive whilst still happily singing and turning back out.

A great example is the support Jozy receives each time he comes on - in the stadium it is full support - anyone reading here would think we hate him, but at a match it is entirely different.

The two things I hate are, how this board does not represent what support is shown in the stadiums and people using posts from here to prove what happens or happened in a stadium.

And yet some still chose to have a dig to get replies and responses on a football message board. Because let's face it that evidence won't make him change his mind, he doesn't work on evidence

nobody doubts how good we are....the fact we are the only city in the premier who is a real backwater and has no money makes us special...we put safc before everything, but why do you feel persecuted and attacked? you have no enemy here but your mind.

There is so much more too. The slugs and liars must not be allowed a free run. Salt and crush them.

Don't remember that trophy being presented like. Did I miss it??

Oh and 9000 at old Trafford - highest away following for the capital one cup.
Dinnar mate. They generally present these kind of trophies fifteen minutes before kick off or at half time and I'm not in my seat at either of these times.

[TediousJardine]weren't well behaved when they viciously hounded Steve Bruce out of our club[/TediousJardine]
Weren't well behaved when the slug linked a fifteen year old article in one thread to prove his point either. Or not as it turned out.

4 things stand out for me this year alone.

Man Utd away, yes it's easy to be a fan when your 90 minutes away to Wembley but we were fantastic and vocal for the full 120+ minutes.

Wembley the whole weekend again we were class and the numbers that were down on the Saturday night must of been 10000+ In Covent Garden and we were superbly well behaved.

Southampton being 8-0 down the support still didn't boo the players and still sang.

Palace despite the previous away game to sell out on a Monday night game in London that was on TV was again fantastic support.
