News released on his own twitter feed. Nothing on Durhams own twitter feed or website. Wonderfull communication by the club.
Not convinced about Mcleod yet. Had a good start but seemed to fizzle out as the season ended. Wonder if the bowlers have sussed him out yet ? Likes it pitched up, not so hot when a little shorter and a little quicker. See how he develops next season.
Also shows that Collingwood is very much in charge at Durham.
John Lewis was quoted as saying that Durham could not bring anyone in unless "they are from Minor Counties and cost £5,000".
Mcleod is very much Collingwood's shout, and he has persuaded Harker to release some money from somewhere ??

Agree with first post that Durham's website and general communications are very poor when it comes to informing fans about CRICKET.
Red Hot when talking about functions and concerts !!

They've sent through a members survey to all members. This is your change to vent your spleen at the club.

He may be a little more than £5,000 but he's still from the bargain bins of domestic cricket. It's hardly a marquee signing from a rival county of the likes of when Notts signed James Taylor.

Jury is well out on this one for me sadly.

Had a great 6 weeks (in which he still couldnt force his way into the 4 day team, bizzarely) but quickly fizzled out into a walking wicket imo...

Mcleod was contracted to Scotland and believe their "central contracts" are worth in the region of £20,000 per year.
Presuming he has accepted the same terms, at least, then this will cost Durham £40,000 plus ??
Lot more than John Lewis' £5,000 !
I hope he improves with full time cricket at Durham, but his season, as a whole, was not that impressive.
When you consider young batters like Graham Clark have only been give a one year "development" contract, a lot less than a full contract.

I can't imagine he is on much to be honest, I think people on here are being a bit too negative. He was hit and miss, but he definitely has something, and is capable of the odd remarkable innings.

I agree. It's his first year playing at a higher level it must take some time to adjust. So he did well at the start then fell away, that's not unusual for new players.

Coughlin also signed a 2 year deal his first full pro contract. Borthwick agreed a 2 year deal. Coughlin apparently offered at least one contract offer from another county which was more than 2 years and on better money to stay at Durham
