doubt we would just throw him in are wood Harrison onions and Arshad not fit by then
He'll might play against Northants so it wouldn't be his first game.

Sussex need 157 from 40 overs with 9 wickets in hand.

Hopefully the game ends up being a draw keeping sussex below us, but it's certainly acheivable since they've scored 97 off 19 overs.

Cant help but think if we held onto a few more catches, or most of our seam attack hadnt been crocked for most of the season, or maybe even if we had retained Will Smith - we would have been a canny bit higher in the table...

imagine if he got some specs
He already has freckles

I've not even seen how Smith has been doing?

Yep, shame he had to go

Personally don't think we have missed Smith, Richardson has done a cracking job, and the money we saved on Smith allowed us to sign Hastings.

Needs 15 more for 1000 and 3rd best on the averages. Sounds like he's been spinning a few in OD too

Not even that, if we could've found one more wicket at Northants and at Lancashire we'd be 27 points better off straight away and still in the title race!

Just spent five and a quarter hours driving up home and couldn't find one radio station giving any cricket info ..... Note to self : must get a new car with a decent radio in it!

Anyway, how happy am I to see that result and then a quick check of the table and we're looking well canny. Lancs could still get themselves out of a hole if Middlesex lose to Somerset. Could be all on the last game of the season and we be just observers from afar ..... ha'way ....

Sussex 135-2, chasing 250 to win.

Edit - off 30.4 overs
Require 118 with supposedly an hour and a quarter to play according to Cricinfo the game should finish at 5:30 .... not sure how many overs have to be played in this innings though?

I suspect you'll currently find him in the Lords Tavern wrapped round a pint of Fosters ..... mind his flight is 10 O'clock from Heathrow so he won't be hanging around .....

BBC website says Sussex need 90 off 24 overs with 8 wickets in hand.

Be nice to finish off with another couple of wins in the Championship to cement a top three position and potential cup win and all in all not a bad season, very good in fact. Its a good time to be a Durham supporter, remembering we will not win everything and despite the cost cutting were still a very useful side, albeit not the depth to the squad we once had

Chapple has been taken off having been despatched to various parts of the ground ... only 55 runs required and we'll be sitting very pretty in the table ....
