Can you move between the upper and lower tiers of the end Durham have got or are they completely segregated?

Got a mate who'll only pay £30 for a ticket but I don't want to be stuck downstairs all day. Pretty sure there'll be thousands of empty seats to move to.

Only been to one ground in the world where you can't move between sections and hoping Lords isn't the second!

I can't remember but in 2007 there were stewards at whey entrance/exit. However we went to the back of the Eldrich stand and no-one said owt.

If the stand isn't full post a thread and I'm sure one of us will sort you out.

No problem Tom, often if I'm in the Compton lower for International games I'll move to the more expensive Mound Stand, give it an hour and they will stop checking ticket.

Not especially relevant but it reminded me of my alkie mate pouring himself a large glass of pimms from the taps on the Sunday after the presentation and the bar staff had knocked off

As has been said they will be checking the tickets for each stand for the first hour or so but once our lot have been to the bar and netty a few times they will lose enthusiasm.

Don't think the Compton Stand holds anywhere near to 6000. More like 3/4000. There will be plenty of our lot going toLords that weren't at the Semi. Our party is made up of half who are doing both games and half only doing the final.

On a similarly important level, are we still allowed our magical four cans like you can for internationals there?

Anyone know the crack for this? Normally the case at Lords as it's the sole exception for taking alcohol into sports grounds. Was given an exemption from the law when it was made a few year back but not sure what stance they take for domestic matches?

The official line is two pints of beer or one 75cl bottle of wine.

Just a point of note for people.

You can get the 205 bus from Kings Cross/Euston Road straight to Marylebone train station. Its then a 10 or so minute walk up to Lords. You pass a Tesco, newsagents etc. on the walk up if you want to stock up on anything.

I've done this with the bairn for the last 2 or 3 years. We stayed at the Travelodge which is right next to Marylebone train station.

Oh, should also have said that the tickets arrived today! Yay.
