Very informative reply, you've obviously got all the answers. Considering your reply; this season lets get relegated, waste a shit load of money on gash players while paying them stupid amounts whilst teetering on the brink of financial ruin and not bother with any cup runs - does that sound better, because we've been there, done it and got the t-shirt.
If its overnight success and a mantelpiece full of cups and medals you want right now then best look elsewhere - we have a relatively new manager with a relatively new team and hopefully a long term strategy, personally after the turbulence and uncertainty we've been through lately, I'll settle for some simple stability and building for the future.
Seriously mate, if you think you can do any better please feel free to send your CV in to Mr Short, you could be the one we're all waiting for. ;)
firstly my post contains all the info it needs to, secondly i never said i could do better but i do think the fans deserve better, i attended my first game in 1980 its now 2014 i don't think that shows a lack of patients do you? we haven't improved in 7 seasons in the prem we've been through the bob murray 10 year plan had 5 managers in as many seasons spent good money after bad, stability my arse patronizing git.

This forum isn't a fair representation of our fanbase.
I was always impressed by Sunderland fans ability to make light of most situations until I started using this place. It's got 100 times worse over the last few years, some people on here need to get a grip.

It is a bit difficult to be a positive Sunderland fan, not giving players a chance before they've even kicked a ball is madness mind.
Although saying that I doubt the IQ's of quite a number of our fans break double figures, so it's not their fault really, they're naturally thick.

Going by the recent Alvarez threads its unbelievable how f***ing negative we are as fans of this club

Embarrassing really

Embarrassing really (Though not as much as this pointless thread)

With all due respect, with so much energy put into giving over so much faith on so many separate occasions to a club that has been unable to make their decisions work each and every time, you have to wonder how much more faith is inside of you to give before you tire of it. You begin to think it will all end horribly wrong since it has ended badly every other time. A succession of managers have failed to take the club to the next level. A succession of player have flopped. A succession of owners have failed to provide the cash to invest heavily in top quality talent. A succession of owners have decided to take the frugal approach.

What make people so sure Guy Poyet and players like Vergini are going to do it?

This our what 7th successive season in the premiership
Plenty of other clubs in the championship would jump at the chance of this

i think we will have to settle for a 1-0 win on saturday.

Only thing you hear from the the North stand is my
HHHAWWWWWWAAAAYYY ;)

Ha! aye, back when Scot Carson was in goal for West Brom I really got under his skin with getting everybody shouting 'it's a cracker'. He had a fuckin' mare of a half IIRC it finished 4-1, never before or since have I actually succeeded in winding a goalie up, it was the pinnacle of supporting the lads
