Never looked in any trouble but lacked the power of Stokes which gave him the ability to accelerate the Durham score throughout the innings. After 35 overs Durham had about 180 and then scored pretty much the same in the last 15. Stokes' 1st 50 took him 47 balls but the 2nd only took 37 and the 3rd, 21! Taylor's one-day average is close to 60 though, which is impressive by any standards.

It was a shame Collingwood got out when he did as he was starting to play some outrageous shots. If he had stayed in with Stokes we'd have made 400.

he got 100 of 50 odd the other week averages 58 or something a top player a lot more consistant than stokes but that innings from ben today was up there with anything I have ever seen in one day cricket

I originally got two tickets through Lords, then one through a DCCC member so I sold my two on eBay to a Hants supporter for a considerable profit which went into the beer kitty. I'm fairly sure, therefore, that Hants sold out.

From conversations at the end of the game today, there will be a few empty seats - and hotel rooms - at Burnley! Dabber is praying for a rain-delayed finish again!

What days are you coming to Lords for the County game? Looks like I may have spare tickets for some of the days! Are you coming up for the final on the 20th? I can text you details later .... sound canny? :)

all 4 days, assuming it goes the distance, and yes i am along with the lad i went to qpr with... canny indeed, assume you meant much later!
