LVCC - Durham v Notts

Cant grasp why Rico would keep yet they would still send him in at 4 especially given the tumble of early wickets but heyho

Gavin Main has a stress fracture to his back.
The point I made about Richardson is that he has not, as far as I know, kept wicket at any level this season.
We have a talented, professional wicketkeeper in Poynter, who is no mug with the bat, what are we telling him ?
If Mustard is injured we are going to use Richardson ??

I see. Thanks for that.

164-4 Richo's 50 came from 106 balls and included 10 fours. Colly is 22*.

Score looking more respectable now so what money on us shooting ourselves in the foot........?!

And as if by magic - Collingwood gone. 164-5. Fuck sake.

Lancs 194-6. Looking set for batting bonus points there.

184-5.

Lancashire 205-6.

13 off an over from Shahzad takes us to a batting point . 202-5.

3 overs til Tea. Patel to bowl. CRUCIAL that we don't lose a 6th before the break.

You couldn't f***ing make it up -
61.2
Patel to Richardson, OUT

MJ Richardson st †Read b Patel 73 (190m 148b 13x4 0x6) SR: 49.32

:evil::evil::evil:

What happened to having a look at a bowler?? Second f***ing ball, just before Tea and he's down the track and stumped.

7 down. The hard work of a session completely shit on by a bad 10 minutes. We'll not make 250 now.

Lancashire on course to piss a second batting point whereas we look unlikely to get a second. Deficit stretched to 7 points if so.

Rushworth in at number 10....... Nosebleed territory

3 extras in the whole of our innings. No wides or leg-byes.....

Right so no sooner had I mentioned the extras - a no ball was bowled. This continues a recurring theme. My next statement is - I think Muchall will make a ton here.

250-9.

our inability to get 300+ could cost us this season, we give ourselves too much to do, and this year have not been able to get over the line in the tight games

3-2!! Taylor lbw Hastings 0 (first ball!)

WICKET! Patel departs with the final ball of the day. gets him to edge to Borthwick at second slip for 26. 66-4 now, 187 behind.

GET IN THERE!! Valiant fightback, 4 wickets in the 19 overs that were left and I think we're slightly ahead on points. Couple of wickets in tomorrow's first hour will have us well up there.

Had the chance of a free ticket for today but turned it down as I thought day 1 would be a bit dull. Anything but, it would appear.

Just back. Cracking day and really nice warm weather.

We threw away some of our wickets which was frustrating but credit to the bowlers who performed well and to get Patel on the last ball of the day was a huge bonus.

Mustard injured himself in the warm up this morning, probably why Richardson is keeping wicket due to the late notice of the injury and the need to name the team

Did you see Mustard warming up, or is it one of them diplomatic injuries. He is having a shocker of a season.

Mustard got injured yesterday.

Richardson said after the days play that he felt we achieved 'par'. If that is indeed true then we can hope for a first innings lead on the basis of the current score.

Notts tail looks longer than usual. No Andre Adams to frustrate us tomorrow. Just the usual Read knock no doubt. If we can nip a couple out early tomorrow we'll be amongst the bowlers.

251 is average first innings score this season, apparently, so 253 being par sounds about right. Hopefully kick on and have a lead of 30-ish which is crucial
