I remember the crowd for the last semi final that Durham lost against Kent was poor. Probably on a par with a Sunday league match against Yorkshire. I reckon they will get 5000.

Guaranteed Hales to be in the T20 squad and it's a fair shout Gurney, Stokes and Lumb will also be involved.

Any idea when the T20 squad is announced?
i would have thought friday after or during the odi. saturday at the latest.

could be but if the weather warms up and no prem league games or championship, they could get more than 5000.

Wonder what the crowd will be. As every local league has a full programme that day it'll affect it. Would have pulled a load on the Sunday.
I've just sent a text to the bairns cricket club asking him not to be considered for selection that day. Be interesting too see what the crowd is. As usual the PR surrounding the game will probably be piss poor and no one will know about it bar the old faithfuls. Not confident of much of a turnout.

The weather is supposed to be glorious in september.

i have plugged the game on pure football. you never know, it might get a few interested with no matches on.

Wont affect those who arent into the cliquè that is club cricket, think a canny few casual fans will turn out imo. Fingers crossed for the weather.

I'd hardly say playing makes it a clique mate. There'll be a game on at every ground in the region next Sat, it's bound to affect numbers. Eg my club would easy have half a dozen there.

Club cricket tends to be like that though doesn't it?

I think you've got the wrong impression there. In some cases people play against each other for decades so obviously people get to know each other but in my experience it's just friendly (in the most part). Also some people seem to see it as some sort of public schools' posh boy thing which to be fair a good portion of the county game is. It's the total opposite in club cricket, especially down the pyramid.
