Two large fields are used for match parking for big games so you'd be wasting your time looking for white lines. Headingley is now a large student area and since the Uni is at present down there should be plenty residential parking available.
 
You could be put on Woodhouse Moor or Carnegie College grounds. Be careful parking on streets - usually residents only or was.

been no problem last few times I have been mate. Drive past ground (behind Rugby stand) and u go over a single track bridge. Follow road up the hill and park up on any of the streets on the right.

Up to the Stanmores - it must have changed. I used to live opposite the ground many years ago and parking was a sod. You should be OK then.
 
Alcohol - website says plastic bottles only. No cans or glass. Anyone know if they are strict with this? Seems my Mrs coffee flask is heavier and more dangerous than a can of Old Speckled Hen !
