Seeing as it's raining

Hales
Roy
Vince
Morgan (at 4 not 5)
Root
Bopara (adds bowling options)
Buttler (shift him around order as appropriate)
Ali
Jordan
Broad
Finn

Bats all the way down. Maybe a bowler light like but I'm bored now

Forgot Stokes, he can carry the drinks

Bat first, score 400 and we won't need to worry about a lack of bowlers.

And one of David Willey, Tim Bresnan & Matt Coles.

So far none of the players mentioned have anywhere near the ability to captain a team to a World Cup win

I'll go:

Cook
Hales
Ballance
Bell
Root
Morgan
Buttler
Jordan
Ali
Broad
Finn

Yes, because we've been so successful with the likes of Cook and Bell at the top of the order for the last few years.

And going into a World Cup without a natural captain is going to improve things? You can't just pick a load of in form players and hope for the best

Vince captains Hampshire, Taylor captains Notts and Morgan had done it for England in the past.

And lets not forget it was just over a month ago that people were saying Cook was clueless as a captain, I certainly wouldn't call him a natural - more he's just been thrown into the role as there's no one else.

I don't think Vince or Taylor are realistic options given that they're barely internationals. Morgan's the vice-captain but even he hasn't exactly set the world alight captaining in the past. Same goes for Broad, who would no doubt also be considered.

I personally think there are far better options that Vince anyway. Lees or Lyth for example

Captain Cook really showing us the way today then. 19 from 33 at the top of the order

James Taylor averaging 82 in the one day competition and he still doesn't get a look in. Cook, Bell and Root in the top 4 ffs.
