Absolutely brilliant bowling this, he has the ability to be Englands spinner just sadly these performances are few and far between.

He doesn't get the overs! The only way he will get the control consistently is with overs, as he has all the deliveries

If he's still here next season there has to be a proper effort to get him bowling far more in the championship, because it's his only chance of England call ups. Due to how important he is with the bat he's almost became a batting all rounder in the 4 day stuff.

He seems to get more overs in the short stuff but then has bowled poorly due to lack of overs with the red ball so a vicious circle really.
 
Borthwick has hardly bowled any full tosses or anything short at all like, only a handful of deliveries.

Totally agree yeah, difficult one as Durham have to look after themselves, year before last we just stayed up, last year we won the title, and this year is a fight again. So always something to play for, which means they are hesitant to just let the lad bowl.

He doesn't always get overs in the short stuff, especially 20 20. To be fair he needs to get chance after chance to replicate this spell.
 
I can only think he's come off because Sussex have taken the PowerPlay and don't want to risk him with the field settings. Seems to be working so far.

It's a frustrating partnership but the RR is going up all the time and at some point they'll have to take a risk and hopefully that will work in our favour.
