Does anybody hate the mags?

Agreed. A few of me mates are very much the typical Northumberland Mags, as far as they go I just try and avoid football talk with them where possible.

Know one Mag from Morpeth who's 28, yet never been to a match.

Loads like that in Berwick , Mag tops , coats , hats , scarves , gloves , even Black and White striped wallpaper(!) but never go to games.

The OP asks who hates the mags. Its a question. Some do, some don't. It has utterly nothing to do with whether they are regular match goers or not.

The non match goers are the ones who are tending to say no though. Pretty sure you knew that though but decided to be an arse anyway

What you gannin on about, of course we hate the mags!

if your on about the fund to raise money for those two poor fellas that died then thats totally different.

I do have two close mag mates but come derby day we fuckin hate each other and i hate all there kind.
bomb the fuckers out off existence, but only target the 92 mags with precision ordanance.

can sunderland order some red and white drones.

used to drink in Newcastle in the 80's and 90's, never heard anyone say am ganning oot forra pint in tha toon
Well, I was brought up in the 50's and it was in regular use then and after, maybe it just reinvented itself for the children of future :D

There's very few people I 'hate' in life, so what football team they support is of little or no relevance to me.

I enjoy the rivalry and pisstake, but I find the way some people (on both sides) go on about it an absolute embarrassment to be quite honest. There are far more important things in life to worry about in my opinion.

Piss off yee

Great post.

the mags as a generalisation are the least likable fans in England in my experience, they're okay when not talking about football.

The irony of course being I have taken ale with Reginald on more than one occasion.
Another irony is that for all we have totally opposing views on what constitutes support and the actual game itself I dare say we could take ale together and have a good argument/debate about those views. Have to get me a big stool mind as I apparently only come up to that mountain of blubber around your waist.

I have a lot of mag friends.....in fact Im probably mates with more mags than mackems when I think bout it......but yes there is a tribal "hate" with the collective article....especially for that 90 minutes twice a year

However I possibly may look at it differently following the loss of those 2 lads on that plane......I did feel real sadness on that one

Nah, sorry, wouldn't want to take ale with you. Reggie is a fine chap, I know where I am with him, you aren't the sort of person I would give time of day to.
Just a few weeks ago you were suggesting I was 5 foot 4. Now you only come up to my waist? Hmmmm.

Just echoing what some others are saying on here that some of my best friends are Sunderland fans as are a lot of the people I work with, they are some of the greatest people I have ever met and I don't let what football team they support cloud my judgement of what kind of man or woman they are.

For 180 minutes a season I wish complete misery on them but apart from that I wish them all of the happiness and good will in the world.

Aw come on Bristow man it's only yesterday you were offering me your seat details so we could have a chin wag. Well I'm a dwarf remember so 5ft 4 is Jeff Goldblum territory for me!

I actually prefer the mags who come on this message board to quite a few of our own to be honest!
