Borini

is his agent just doing his job and trying to screw both clubs over?

Probably a bit of this but let's be honest, a young ambitious lad, moving from a side that nearly won the league to a side that just managed to stay up. It's a backward step for the lad and no matter how popular he is up here or how much he enjoyed his time with us, it's a huge decision for him to make. I don't think we should be too disappointed that he's taking some persuading to make the move.

Our offer would have come as no surprise to Borini, he must have decided in principle whether he would come here long before we even approached Liverpool. The delay suggests his decision was a no unless it's his only option. I also think Liverpool are being disrespectful playing him after accepting the bid, so given the injured shoulder on top of the waiting I would walk away, and let them come begging.

Only if he thinks he is going to get in the Liverpool team this season.

Its nowt like it man ffs, you wont find many players another club has agreed a deal for go on to play two games that mean nothing at all. That shows a lack of respect towards us from liverpool and that the deal isnt looking like happening.

Does it really show a lack of respect? I can see the argument but he's their player until he's sold, and all he's doing is playing him in a friendly.

It's certainly not both showing a lack of respect if the deal isn't happening, as you suspect.

Hopefully this is a blessing in disguise, I wanted Borini to come to SAFC, but not with a 14 million price tag, he's not worth anywhere near that, hopefully the club will have the sense to pull out of this deal now, he obviously doesn't want to play for us, so let him rot on Liverpool's bench for the rest of his contract.

If you want him to sign why do you care so much about the price? If it's the going rate then so be it, it's not as though you're paying.

because I didn't want him to come that badly, he's just an ok player in my book, nothing special, and not a chance is that the going rate for a player like him, we should be buying 2 players for that price, it'll be the same old Sunderland, pay top dollar, then in 2 seasons time when he isn't scoring goals, we'll get rid at a massively cut down price.

I think if we do sign him it won't be until deadline day, when Liverpool and Borini may have a clearer idea on his immediate future and also things get a little desperate/hectic.

That said, this injury could mean he doesn't play until then anyway.
A bruised shoulder keeps him out till deadline day? Give over marra

I think it is, if he hasnt made his mind up yet then liverpool playing him is showing a lack of respect. If it was the last few games in the prem and they were short of strikers it would be different, the fact is its meaningless preseason games early pre season games that mean little.

North east press saying hes broken a bone in his shoulder now, ffs.

Fuck that mate. Hardly anything wrong. Be training or signing someone in a few days.
North east press saying theyve heard from the liverpool press hes broken a bone in his shoulder.4

Liverpool reporters claiming that Fabio Borini broke a shoulder bone last night. Could have obvious implications for .

He ripped in from an unverified journo account mate.

He has slightly bruised his shoulder and will be out for a couple of days. Probably spending more time discussing our contract offer
