People are being very creative with reasons why it can/will still happen while ignoring what the reality is, we should withdraw the bid and move on, looking desperate will only weaken our hand with our other negotiations.
 
Hopefully Ellis has an international phone plan. Calls to America will be pretty expensive.

What do you mean won't allow us to talk to him? They haven't locked him in a basement....

Talks are usually with agents until the final stages anyway. Doesn't seem far fetched they'd expect him to honor his duties as a LFC player until the point it's almost certain he is leaving.

Not sure how they'd contact him in the meantime though, hopefully the club homing pigeon knows its way around Boston.

Oh and Borini will sign early next week. Off to Portugal with the lads.
