He may well be waiting to see who else comes on for him first as he certainly isn't rated by Rogers , just need it resolved by mid week , if he's unsure still by then then look elsewhere for a top striker . How much would lukaku cost ??

Reports from Merseyside suggest Borini will NOT be on plane that leaves for pre-season tour this afternoon. Clearly, good news for #SAFC

Borini in January 2014: "It was incredible support. I have to say that a piece of my heart is here with Sunderland; with the club, the fans and the players"

Are you suggesting that our Fabio is a fickle whore who pretends he loves everybody?

No, where did I say that ffs. I don't think you agree with anyone ever do you.

I wouldn't assume that he is in a corner, he has a contract that he can stand behind whilst his value depreciates......Players hold nearly all the power thee days. I doubt that Rodgers wants rid, it is the club that has agreed the deal, it happens all the time.

Aye, he could stay there but he's behind a raft of players for the first team and i think he's a player who would prefer to be playing than bench warming. And if Brenty wanted to keep him, surely he would have told the club that and they would have told us to fuck off when we bid for him?

Got a feeling people are overreacting here. He's a good player for sure but with the amount of expectation on him and the fact that he's not going to be in the shop window for bigger things means we're going to see diminishing returns I think. It's harder to put in performances like he did last season without the knowledge you can move on without complication either way and with the knowledge you are indisputably the key player.

He'll do well enough but I don't think he's going to score any more than last season, and if you remove pens he didn't get that many.

Yeah but goal-scoring isn't our main requirement of him. His work rate was key in running whichever flank he was operating on, not to mention his obvious ability to link play and provide a threat cutting in from the left. He clearly has massive potential and I can see him improving with each passing season.

He is a good player, not worth the fee but decent enough. Think he will come but I really don't think he's 100% committed to the move, probably sees himself at a higher level. Anyway we'll make a loss on the deal long term.
