So... once he found out Rodgers wants to sell him, he decided to stay and play for a manager that wants to get rid of him? His goal is to anger his manager and probably stay on the bench for most of next season? Hmm...Di Marzio is a genius.

His plan is to just forget about what's best for his career and sit on the bench blowing raspberries at Rodgers and giving him the v's behind his back.

That'll show them.

Questioned Di Marzio on the previous Vito story...

it happens that things Change, no? I said what i know now. Maybe wrong, no problem. News are free here, People decide.

The man will know as much as us

To be fair to the bloke he doesn't claim to have a direct hotline to any player, he is just relaying what he is told from his sources in the media.

I've got a feeling he wants a move to a more established outfit, and our bid is being used to try and attract counter offers. In a similar way in which the Williams bid was clearly used to improve his terms at Swansea.

Obviously speculating on his intentions, but he might want to break back into the Italian team. Being at Sunderland didn't do him much good on that front last season.

Rodgers will learn his lesson not to try and sell any fringe players again!!!

The bloke from The Times who is very relieable and broke the story in the first place would of surely mentioned something by now if he had rejected us

Ahh fuck it, what will be will be. I am off to drink copius amounts of red wine

Been told by a semi reliable scouse daddy's that he's holding out to see if anyone else comes in.

To be honest I don't think there are many teams who would value him the same as we do. 12 million up front seems reasonable to me, but if he'd played last season at WBA I probably wouldn't think so having not seen as much of him and how good a fit he is.

I think he will sign early this week.

Nevermind all the price bollocks, I think the pair of you are a perfect match. He can become a hero, number 1 star of the team, in reality you're not going to get anyone better.

£8m up to £14m is absolutely nothing these days. He's young and if he's a success the sell on value is immense (oh hang I sound like Uncle Mike)

Where is he honestly going to go that is better/bigger for him? He spent last season in a relegation dogfight, its not like Barca are knocking on the door...

Probably SEB

That doesnt say to me Rodgers seems to intent that he's staying
