Borini

It's a hell of a lot but the clubs have got more money now due to the revised tv deal. What this means is that players, agents and selling clubs know there's money to be had hence players that would have previously gone for less are now selling at inflected prices. The transfer market is totally ridiculous. If he comes snd he can get the goals we need then he's worth the cash. I want to see our club do well and to do that we need good players, and good players that want to play for us.

To early to say but if we're spending 14 million on borini I'd imagine the club would be aiming for a comfortable season.
I think realistically these days for 13, 14 clubs in the premier league the first objective is 40 points and survival, obviously spending 14 million on a player should give you a better chance

Aye, dont get me wrong I like him and would like to see him back here, certainly improve us. But I think his derby goals and the Final one have clouded a lot of peoples judgement on him.

He isn't worth double figures.

Only scored 7 goals last year in the league, and from memory I think at least 3 of them were penalties.

I agree with you yes mate, but I just think sometimes when you have a player who has idolised, young, has scored such important goals, then just go and get him

We could get someone better than him, and he is overrated definatley, but maybe just worth it, will give the sole club a lift I think, it isn't our money either is it.

Tony Barrett (@TonyBarretTimes):
Sunderland have agreed a fee with Liverpool for Fabio Borini. The deal will be worth up to £14m if Borini can agree personal terms

to be fair, in the cut and thrust nature of premier league football, Borini has a massive affiliation with the fans

only player to score in a cup final since porterfield, he's part of our history

Plus he hardly played as an out and out striker, and whilst some of his goals were penalties they were all in f***ing massive games which shows he has bottle

Hellish penalties though, at least the two that I can remember were. He was t played up front either. He has the type of quality, which used effectively will see him comfortably into double figures over a season.

yep, can't disagree with that

anyone who thinks our prime objective is not to be in a relegation dogfight again is sadly mistaken
