Which seems unlikely. Is he playing regularly for Essex?I think he's the best option England have unless they go back to Panesar

It has to be Panesar but I think even if he gets X amount of wickets in the next Y games, Cook and Moores won't even consider going back.

He was bowling in the nets the other week with some ECB bloke
He'll do a better job than Cook.![]()
Scott Borthwick isn't a test match bowler - yet.
Adam Riley - fair enough he's taking wicket but they're against second division plodders - massive difference.
Rashid - doesn't play regular in the 4 day team
It really wouldn't surprise me if they went down the route of Tredwell tbh.
And would thus add more value to the team![]()
But not taking wickets, so would be a shocking decision. Monty has been taking wickets for essex and is our only test quality spinner also the only spinner cook will actually bowl.Don't know, Panesar if he can get his act together in the next few weeks and take wickets for Essex... Wouldn't surprise me if they went for Tredwell now he seems to be playing regular for Sussex
Steve Harmison was superb on Sky last night talking about it... He was on about the line up being top heavy, constantly trying to get "all round" cricketers who cares if the spinner cant bat/field, he's there to take wickets, pick your best spinner etc
They simply cant go to RB, OT, Oval with Joe Root & Mo Ali as spinners...

Or a typical England dull decision.
Monty has been taking wickets he is the obvious option. But tbh we need to bring through a younger player and kerrigan, borthwick, riley need to be given a proper chance.Or a typical England dull decision.

Wonder if Cook learns his lesson and just bowls Plunkett for short (4 overs), sharp spells and not let him carry on for 8,9+.
Tendulkar looks like the top boy of a drugs gang.
First ball, field spread saving the 4s
Thought Maradonna had lost a bit timber and had flew over.
It's so easy to pick his captaincy apart lately. Sad state of affairs.
