Anyway they better f***ing pick the first XI before our game with yorkshire, as we could really do with him as onions and co aren't fully fit yet.

Can't believe were going in with Ali as our main spinner, especially as cook won't even use him.
Might get away with it at TB and Lords but come The Ageas Bowl, OT & The Oval they'll have to play a frontline spinner...
Doesn't spin much at Trent Bridge.

Abrogation of selectoral responsibility. Why name the extra man?
1) Injury concerns? Can only think of Broad with his knee and Prior with his back
2) Unknown conditions, unlikely at Trent Bridge.
If it's either of the above, why not include a specialist 'keeper or spinner as the extra man instead of ANOTHER quickie.

Panesar is the only spinner we've got, but I think off field problems will mean he won't be selected.
Ali isn't the answer and cook will not turn to him ditto anyone else we select whether that be one of the younger guys of riley,kerrigan,borthwick,patel

Trent Bridge is very rarely a spinners paradise, unless they're expecting different conditions.

love scotty and would have him in as a batter but he doesn't bowl well or often enough for us they would probs go down the Treadwell safe option route if he gets games in.

Cook, Robson, Root, Bell, Ballance, Ali, Prior, Stokes, Jordan, Broad, Anderson.
If we're not looking at Borthwick, then yes it has to be Panesar.

Tredwell has been crap this season
Tredwell 8 at 51 in 3 games.(he had to move sides cos of riley)
Riley 31 at 26 in 8 games
Panesar 23 at 31 in 9 games
Kerrigan 28 at 34 in 11 games
f***ing grim tbh but Panesar has the test pedigree and is the only real option cos cook won't trust one of the younguns or Ali

careful mind. people might be after you with that comment. i am extremely worried that we are heading back to where moores left england first time around. i pray not but this could be a very long summer, if we dont win at trent bridge
