Get in, guess that means Stokes won't be here for much longer! See how we go batting first, if Stoneman hits a few early could stack the runs quickly, if we lose a few wickets then take your time
It's about time he peformed with the ball this season. Just needs some knocks with the bat before India.

Ideally we score 300 in this innings. Although even if we were to match their score of 205 you'd expect our bowlers to defend 337 again.

After our second innings last week I'm counting nee chickens but we're in a cracking position.

Northants 54/5 after lancs first innings of 650/6d

So f***ing annoying we couldn't get the last wicket against northants as they are shite.

Hopefully we can have a lead of 250 up by the close of play.

It's a pity we played them first game of the season when they were full of themselves and we hadn't found any rhythm. However, we're now starting to play more as a team, though still dependent on certain individuals bowling exceptionally well and only a couple of batsmen getting big scores. Hopefully, we'll get some of the other lads to make bigger contributions in the next couple of games ....

A lead of 250 by CoP tonight is definitely on too ....

A lead of 250 would be lovely by Close but we've still got bags of time. No more than 2 down and we're laughing. 16 overs left tonight.

6 overs left tonight. I'd missed that their innings ended and Tea was taken, thus meaning we didn't lose two between innings.

92-1 - 224 ahead. Jennings 43*, Borthwick 12*.

Not gonna be a full days play on Wednesday :(

You'll see the climax man :p

105-1 at Close. Lead is 238. Best day of the season so far??

Another good batting display tomorrow and then I'll be very happy to see only a half days play on Wednesday and an excellent bowling display by the lads .... the win's more important than me seeing a whole days cricket. Next time I'll just have to make sure I'm around for more than the last two days ....

Don't want to firing fifteen notes out to watch two quick wickets. Might sneak in again

Couldn't follow the game as much as I'd have liked today due to work but to skittle them for 250 after they'd reached 60 odd without loss was marvellous. Was expecting a long, tough day in the field for our lads when I saw the glorious sunshine in the morning.

The batting from us which followed just further strengthened our grip on the game. We're in such a position that even if we were to lose our last 9 wickets for just 100 we'd still be favourites to win.

Sure Colly would like to get as Close as possible to a lead of 500 not long after Tea. Then perhaps stick them in with around 120 overs left in the match. All that of course is bearing in mind some of our more recent third innings 'performances' over the last couple of seasons. It's fair to say though that if we get into a position to even consider the Declaration we'd assume a defeat wasn't possible.

We'll see how we go, but as I say, even some kind of batting disaster should still see us favourites to win when we do come out to field again.
