Thirimanne v Anderson in Tests: 90 balls, 23 runs 6 wickets. Avg 3.83.

now then, that review was a touch unlucky, but to be fair, prior first innings was similar. the win is on if they get matthews

one thing that i have not seen tried since steve harmisons day. a slow yorker. lbw or bowled could be on

With an extra hour we would have had these.

But ballance got a nice bauble of getting his name on the board, well done alistair you negative fuckwit

It's really the stupidly slow over rate that's done it, but I take your point
agreed. there wil be about 20 scheduled but unused overs, which is terrible, considering no time lost to any weather probs. both teams at fault for that

Think we'll finish with at least 18 lost overs which is diabolical in test cricket. Think if we'd have had half of them, we'd be staring victory in the face. Going to dribble out into a draw in the last 10 overs.

I hope Sri Lanka are 9 down at the close of play so that England are embarrassed by their pathetic conservatism. Hopefully the reaction would act as a catalyst for making us more aggressive and ultimately more interesting to watch.

Hello, could a win be on again?

Still think the lack of frontline spinner will cost us.
