Twisted

Striker
They were playing a warm up game against Sri Lanka yesterday, 2pm start.

I work until 7pm so after that i trundled along, expecting to get in free but wary because i know how tight they are but i was willing to pay £5, maybe £10 if there seemed a fair amount of play left, presuming it was around £15 to get in.

Sri Lanka had batted first, put on just over 300 and kent were replying, seen they had lost 2 already by the time i finished work.. got to the ground 17 overs into the reply, kent 53-3 or so.......

they wanted £30!!! the f***ing jokers, told them to do one. ended up all out around 20 overs later. Kúntz.

stefan kuntz. one of favourite non headlines. kuntz beat england at euro 96. even the sun didnt print it

The clubs have so little money they try and fleece people whenever they can. Last night it was £20 for adults to get in at Durham (I have a membership so didnt pay of course) but I wondered what would have happened attendance wise if they had charged say £8 for adults and £3 for bairns. hey would surely have cashed in beer and burger wise?

doubt they would still want £20 if there was only 4 overs left in the match though

expected it to be £15-20 but haway man, when there is only a fraction of the game left to still be charging...

30 f***ing notes to watch Ben Harmison & David Griffiths?

I think not...

£20/£5 in reduced to £10/£2.50 after half time would have done...

Write the a letter. Perhaps strongly worded or perhaps just more informant stating that they lost money and goodwill by not lowering prices as the game went on. Probably won't make any difference to them but if I was running a cricket club (which I'm sure none of you on here would want such an occurrence ;)) I'd want to maximise chances of making money whilst also gaining some goodwill along the way. Hence, I'd suggest reductions at the innings break. Or for four day stuff, at each interval. The alternative in your case being that small money is better than none at all.

far too much effort, i did tweet me marra i went to hove with and included @kent and said they wanted the same amount to watch 20 overs that we paid for 4 days and that it was a disgrace. for all teh difference it will make.

only last year they reduced prices since it was such a rip off - down from £20 per day to £15. you used to have to buy tickets a week in advance to get any reduction anarl! not sure what it is now like

Aye, I wouldn't be arsed myself like but perhaps they will take note....? After all, they should do - every business should listen to its customers.
