Beat Poyet 3 times and will soon play Arsenal for the FA Cup. Say what you will but has been a winner as a player, still well respected by other Mangers and his players who are slightly better than ours and only slated by our great fans. Problem with some of our couch experts is that despite him being our Manager once...we literally show no respect to our players, Managers and owners. We are where we are because of no respect. Spitting at our own face really. He was not my favorite but I can think of lot worse starting with MON who had the gall of not showing up to practice for one. Bruce was first to show and last to leave every freakin practice.
 

From February 2011 to the day he was sacked in November he won 5 games, drew 6 and lost 16.

He should have finished a lot higher then 11th as well in the 10/11 season but we had the usual Bruce slump (which you'll become familiar with) and in the end he was lucky to get 10th. Then in the summer he dismantled a pretty decent team and replaced it with shite on big contracts. The same shite which will see us relegated this year.

In 2011/2012, O'Neill saved us but failed to rid the team of the useless players Bruce had signed, largely because of the contracts he put them on.

(Wes Brown 5 year contract :lol:)

Not to mention he blamed the fans for his sacking. And has not stopped bleating on about how he feels he was treated unfairly. At first, you could forgive him as presumably he was upset at losing his job, a few years on and the fat moaning **** becomes very tiresome.

Il tell you why.

1. His record against mags was poor which our fans couldn't accept even though it's them and not us who are obsessed apparently.
2.Hes a mag which again apparently wasn't an issue despite being called a fat Geordie bastard.You work that out.
3.He never had a settled win a few lose a few type season.We had great starts and dire finishes and it's always the last memory that remains the most fresh.

That's pretty much why the fans have such a beef with him.Having said this I do believe it was time for him to go as his last window was awful but he did give us two reasonable seasons so for that reason I have no problem with him at all.

You'll get no sense and just abuse from some of the idiots on here as I've been down this road before and copped plenty.Not that im worried as I've forget more about sunderland than some of the numbskulls on here.
Oh and by the way It's also Steve Bruce who is obsessed with us for mentioning us a handful of times in press conferences since he left as opposed to the smb who have around a dozen threads a week abusing him!!

I think that you have hit the maximum of his abilities.

Has done a good job in getting promotion and keeping you up relatively easily but genuinely I just don't think he can kick on. I also think he is pretty devoid of ideas when the going gets tough as evidenced by long winless streaks.

He started well with us and then let it go to rat shit pretty swiftly.

On the other side of it he may have learned from his previous mistakes and to be fair I think we could end Mourinho's career as a manager

Two home wins from Jan to Nov prior to his sacking and one of them was New Years Day, yet Bruce STILL bleats on saying the only reason he got sacked was because he lost to Newcastle. However, as he is a media darling (Talksport in particular) nobody outside of SAFC listens to the real reasons he got sacked and just believe everything Bruce says.

Jelavic started well at Everton and then could not hit a barn door. He has done a job for you and has helped keep you up but his form won't last. Long is a decent player but he is a player to keep you in the bottom half dozen, he works hard but doesn't have the goals to get you higher. Huddlestone and Davies have done well but history tells us that Huddlestone's form will dip, Davies has had his best ever season, he won't be able to repeat it.
What I am saying is that your best players have all hit top form at the same time. We have seen how the premier league finds you out, it chews you up and spits you out. These players who have done very well but they won't be able to keep it up. Don't take that as a criticism as they have done well this year, doing it over a period of time isn't possible.

Thats when Bruce will start to look at his shoes and show that once his bounce has gone he can't fix it. He will then start telling you that you have never had it so good and that you are lucky etc etc etc. He will soon piss you off.
