Been to Lords today

Went the other week, some kind of building work garn on so couldn't have too much of a gander around.

Shop was shit.

That village green behind one of the stands is immense.

The one and only time I've been to Lords was the rain affected match fixing Pakistan (2010). Saw 12 ish (?)overs - a lot of them probably not genuine and got soaked.

I saw Dennis Lillee and Jeff Thomson blow our top 4 wickets away on the first morning in 1975 and then watched a grey haired little man show the guts that is needed these days in the England team.

I saw Michael Holding thump Brian Close and John Edrich so much for the last hour in 1976. Close was over 40 years old and opening the batting for England. They survived the onslaught and Close was 0*. Brilliant cricket.
