eh what do you mean? he's certainly not proven he's perfect in any role at SAFC, he possibly just the best we have, hence why I laughed at what you wrote and certainly not taking it out of context

Then I suggest you google "quote mining" and then you'll understand what you did. I never said he was perfect all round, I said he was the perfect person out of our options to deal with the physicality and agro of the game. The ability to hold off big defenders and lay balls off to runners, it's what he has done for us so far this season.

That was absolutely shite but ffs man, we still have games in hand.

We're by no means down yet, ya git fannies.

This - though failing to beat Palace at home doesn't fill me with confidence for Liverpool and City away.

[QUO"Pepe, post: 17240506, member: 3556"]I have no idea what the point of playing Bridcutt as a fifth defender, at home, against a team that doesn't score, who are known for negative tactics is exactly.[/QUOTE]

To use the lb and Rb to attack

This is the only thing I'm really annoyed about. Poyet basically promised a victory by selecting a back up team to put us out of the cup
Give over, Sir Alex wouldn't be able to promise a victory with this squad. We have one attacker who knows how to find the net, a midfield that is unable impose itself for more than 5 minutes at a time and a defence that always looks likely to make a mistake.
Gus was bang on when he said we need to be realistic - it's not cos we're shite old Sunderland, it's cos we've filled the shirts with rank players who are not capable of playing any better every week.

sickening that we can't score for shit - seriously, its not even funny anymore (performances like that where we huff and puff but don't blow the f***ing house down just sums us up, i'd gladly sign Anelka up for a few weeks if we could, as we can't rely on these buggers)

So why not play a stronger side against hull? The fans wouldn't have cared half as much about today's result if we actually tried against hull
