I'm backing Poyet.

Really? Aside from a few people who I'd always assumed were Mag WUMs, I've not really seen much of that.

Lots of "he won't be forgiven in a hurry" shite. Here's Masterplank, for instance;

"It's the morning after the day before and I'm still f***ing raging about that team selection yesterday, basically Poyet has took the piss out of us all. Everyone could handle losing a game if we've gave it our best shot but to lose like that is unforgivable and Poyet needs to have a serious word with himself, if he thinks we are all just going to forget about this by beating Crystal Palace then he better f***ing think again, yesterday won't be forgotten for a long time."

I suspect / hope he had already paid for his hotel.

Mistakes aside there was very little between the 2 sides. For the third time this season individual fuck-ups from the players has cost us any positive result. (Although i blame the ref for Catt's sending off earlier in the season).

Some of the overly negative reactions on here have surprised me tbh, don't know why mind. :lol:[DOUBLEPOST=1394441537][/DOUBLEPOST]
Was pretty tight for 50-60 minutes then he brought our best 2 attacking players on. Not sure why you suggest he didn't want to win it like.

Refusing to start our 6 best players clearly had no say in the outcome of the game. You can dress it up how much you like but Poyet fucked up massively yesterday.

I think he will be a top manager but the fact is the fa cup was there for the taking and he fucked up. we will probably wait decades for a similar run disapoints the fans who want to see us acheive something other than a bottom half finish.

Gus has done wonders with us since he took over from PDC, he got it wrong yesterday imo, but now he can focus on what is obviously his main objective of keeping us in the premier league. If we don't beat Palace on Saturday it's going to put us in a very difficult position but we've just got to keep backing Gus and the lads to pick up the points to keep us up!

Hopefully he gives the players a kick up the arse and we come out and show some desire on Saturday. Get a win on Sat and we can start climbing back out the bottom 3, we can have another crack at the cup next year! KTF! :)

There were eleven professional footballers on the pitch,there to do their job. I agree Poyet isn't immune from criticism,but he can't be blamed for lapses like we saw from O'Shea and Cattermole,and some downright shit from Dossena,Fletcher,Larsson and Scocco. These highly paid players have got to get their heads in the right place on the pitch,there is only so much that can be done in the dressing room.

That team was good enough to win that match. They let him down.

Because he started the game with 6 better players ont he bench. Pretty simple to understand really.

6 Players who should he need them to achieve the desired result, he had available to call on, and he did. As I predicted, bring on Johnson and Borini in the 60-65min to get the win. However, Cattermole decided to leave his ability in the changing room and screwed us all over, Poyet included. This was always the game to give Fletcher, Giac and Scocco the mins they meeded, and we had the 6 you mentioned to help out.

Simple as that
