Thought he was excellent today to be honest (Easy to say about most of them). Good on the wings, cut in well and was always helping out defensively.

Was shitting myself when he stepped up to the penalty as he looked nervous but either through luck or judgement it was practically unstoppable.

For all the talk re Ki I think equally we should be going all out to secure him on a permanent.

he's a surprisingly good tackler, I agree he brings something to the team and at the right price sign him up :p

Decent player and I do rate him. However like ki, he wouldn't probably want to come here full time, especially at the current time when we may go down.

Also I would think he'll have better options than us for a permanent switch. Inter have been linked
 
quite tidy and quick as fuck but bundled off the ball too easily at times. Having said that he put a really hard tackle in on Rafael in the first half which got the crowd going.

I agree, but realistically we have no chance. Rodgers fancies him from his time at Swansea but he's too young/not good enough for Liverpool yet.
Yet is a key word, they let him come to clubs like us to bring him up to the necessary level to play for them. The same as how we got Evans and Wellbeck from United. Also if you were Borini and playing well for us (potentially earning yourself a place in the 1st team at Liverpool) would you leave them and come to us, or would you give Liverpool another go before leaving?

Would love to see us sign him, but I really don't think it will happen
 
Didn't want to take away from Alonso's fine debut but I thought Borini was our best player tonight, does a lot of unseen tracking back and covering which you don't expect from a natural CF, been a great loan signing but I honestly think he'll go onto bigger and better things, which is a pity for us.
 
We just need another one of him up top and one on the other wing/wide position.
 
Although they still overspent i can see why Liverpool spent as much as they did on him, he's infuriating at times with his decision making and passing but his first touch, pace and work rate are excellent the decision making will improve, just a shame we can't give him a more advanced role.
 
Good again tonight, starting to really like him. Shitting my jockeys when he stepped up to take the penalty mind he looked nervous as fuck. Thought Ki would have taken it myself.
