The fact the man started supporting NUFC in 1992 tells you all you need to know about his mental character.

Sick of reading about the tiresome bellend for all the wrong reasons tbh.

Wasn't he the No1 spinner in the world at one time....? I just hope in years to come he isn't spoken of in the same breath as those who have shared that title not so long ago. He was never fit to tie Kumble, Warne, Mushy, Murali, Saqlains boot laces.

Just seen his interview, slagged sunderland off, go and fuck yourself swann you absolute f***ing coward, another on that wasnt willing to dig deep when he get sspanked for the first time in his career

Easy toppling the west indies and co isnt it?

Eh! What was he slagging Sunderland off for?

Imagine the furor if during the next world cup if we get beat first two games and have no chance of qualifying and Gerrard decides to up sticks and pack in before the 3rd game

He would never have packed in if we were 3-0 up but he had bowled to the same standard. He basically cant be arsed for the next two games so decided to jump ship

I agree the timing leaves a bit of a bad taste. The Aussies have done a massive job on us. Not just beating us but systematically destroying us.

Bizarre timing but let's not forget what a superb cricketer he has been for England

We love our players having "character" when they win, but seem to forget it when it goes wrong

Oh and all the Mag comments, this is about cricket not football. Leave it alone

Spot on with those comments (especially the ones about what football team he supports), yes he has bailed out and will get stick for it but lets not forget what a fine player he has been.

In fairness the mags occupy the thoughts of MackemDJ every minute of every day.

I think he'd have been better ruling himself out through injury and announcing retirement at the end. I think he has done it with good intentions but it looks a little bit rat on sinking shipish.

He has been brilliant for England. The main reason why we climbed to number 1 in the world in my opjnion. Very difficult to replace but, like Swann, I hope they go with Borthwick
