We don't create anywhere near enough chances for Altidore or fletcher to score. Look at today, both horribly isolated and offering fuck all.

We also don't have the midfield to play 4-4-2. That is the real problem here.

Everybody raves about how good fletcher is, even he has been woeful all season
 

Certainly isn't shite. Had a poor game today but so did the entire squad. The fact that Flecther came on and offered absolutely nothing different highlights where the f***ing problem is.

I'd be amazed if any striker with 45 Premier League appearances has scored less than 2 goals, never mind one who cost £6.5m.

Sssh. You're not allowed to mention his time at Hull. Or in Spain or Turkey. It doesn't count. He scored some goals in Holland one year.

well past seasons we have stayed up so we must stay up this season?

his record might be better, but he has not been the same since he came back from injury. could be the way we are playing, but no good having a better record if you can't play as well in this system.

We didn't create enough last season yet Fletcher scored goals, as he did the season before that and that....we probably create as many half chances now under Poyet. And yes Fletcher probably doesn't suit our stlye of play, whilst a player of Altidore's type probably would, but short term one is likely to score goals and the other isn't. I'm not saying Fletcher is great, but he's far far far more capable than Altidore.

Fletcher had no preseason and hasn't really looked fit, yet has still outscored Altidore in the league and gets on the end of more things. It stands to reason if he's played more, he'll score more.
