I've been saying this for weeks and been slated on here - he's a plank. Can't jump has no mobility and falls over at the slightest contact. He's like an arthritic Kenwyn Jones but without the cool 'dreads.
 
Never has been , nor never will be a footballer...shocking lack of a right foot, first touch dreadful and slow to take advantage. Said it for a while now but today confirms he is a complete and utter waste of time, money and opportunities.
Probably the worst striker I've seen for many years!

Altidore will not score goals and barely offers a threat. Although he suits the team play that bit more, without a Frank Lampard or a Gareth Bale (players who regularly score goals from other positions, obviously not that level of ability) he is rendered utterly pointless.

Stephen Fletcher has scored goals with little service for God knows how many years. Last season he was one of the main reasons we stayed up. This season despite being unfit earlier on he's still outscored Altidore in the league and far more often wins things in the air and gets the odd half chance. For me, it's a bit of a no brainer here, I just hope Gus twigs soon. We're in a position where we have to utilise the best we have and I'm sure as hell that isn't Jozy Altidore.
 
The useless lump should pay back the wages we've paid him and fuck off. Play a youth player upfront, or a defender, anybody else would be better. One things for sure playing him is guaranteeing relegation.
 
Jozy, who I'm sure is a nice lad, should be like a cross between George Weah and Roger Milla the size of him. Unfortunately he's more Like a cross between George Foreman and Roger de Corsey!!

I could sort of understand if it was Messi, but following nonentities like Altidore around is beyond bizarre. Even the US has produced miles better players.

Out of curiosity, how do Sunderland fans compare in their awfulness to those at every one of the other clubs - Villareal, Xerez, Hull, and Bursaspor - where, like Sunderland, he has also been absolutely f***ing shite?
