Wes has been outstanding since Gus arrived on the scene.
We all knew what a great footballer he is on his day but has hardly played since the Brucie days.
Now he had documented injury problems but could he have had issues that were more in his mind playing for MON and PDC?
Lets hope he continues to perform as we are a much better team with Wes in,

He need to be cryogenically frozen from 5pm on a Saturday until 2.55pm the following Saturday - he is key to our survival hopes. It's no conincidence that we have stopped conceding goals since he's been back in the team:

Hull 2nd half - no goals
Southampton - 1 goal
Man City - no goals
Stoke first half -1 goal
Villa - no goals

Compared to an average of 3 conceded per game prior to that......

If we can be tight at the back and start nicking the odd goal we have a massive chance. Now Gus has sorted the defence he needs to sort the attack - we should've won that today!

Shame he's 34 - that said, he's played so few games that he probably has the engine of a 25 year old. But realistically, ,can we get maybe one more season out of him?

Hes fantastic. Shame hes had a career thats been blighted with injuries or i'm sure he'd have had more recognition, particularly on the international scene!

We have to keep him fit because hes absolutely crucial to our cause. Hes a no nonsense calming influence at the back and you have to appreciate that given some of the flappers we've had playing there in recent times.

Where would we be if he'd played 90-95% of games since he arrived?
I don't think we'd have seen anywhere near as many new managers.

Paul McGrath, Ledley King. Whatever it takes to get this lad right for 90 minutes a week just do it...

Be a shame to see him miss the Chelsea game due to being frozen in a box...

He's the type of player who not only does well himself but he lifts everyone in his vicinity. We look a totally different team in his area of the pitch.
It's unbelievable how much of a difference he makes like. O'Shea is a completely different player without the added responsibility. Please stay fit Wes
