I knew Roughy when his band and mine played around the north east in the early eighties. They supported us at Biddick Farm Arts Centre. Never heard from him in decades till he popped up on here and me and him shared a bit of banter about the olden days.

He must have been about 50 years old. Very sad to learn of this, especially at the dawn of the festive season - didn't even know he was in ill health. Sad.

Very sad to hear about a fellow Castle View lad passing away, especially so young.

What band were you in by the way Tex?

I'm genuinely shocked. Like many I knocked about with him a bit during the disorder days. I don't suppose he ever got to write that punk book he was on about.

RIP roughy.

Remember seeing Disorder at Ford CA. Good times, sad news, R.I.P. Roughy.

Shocked also

Always seemed a decent lad albeit an odd discretion

I'm truly saddened at this news . Always came over as a genuine lad. Ex Castle View anarl RIP Marra ! Thioughts are with his family tonight .

 Always remember him practicing with his band in Town End Farm Junior School Hall after 6.00 on I think every other Thursday or Friday and me and a couple of mates riding our Chopper & Grifter bikes outside on the patio area in front of the hall windows circa very early 80's listening to the music while they played their tunes.

RIP fella from an old T.E.F boy.

Saw a Facebook post off him just last week about how he had stopped lying to his daughter and had told her that her dad wasn't going to be around much longer.

It was fairly heartbreaking stuff.

Rip Mark, thoughts with his daughter and the rest of his family.

jesus i know he got a bit stick on here about his misdemeanours but thats awful, RIP to the bloke and thoughts with his lass and daughter
