to be fair, i think the referee was just taking his time. which is good in hindsight, but surely after taking time, trying not to make a rash decision, the answer would be to realise it was in no way a sending off.
If he was thinking, just foul, yellow or red he should've blown right away them thought about any punishment. The fact it took him a while to blow his whistle suggested he was decding if it was a foul or not (presuming you're correct that the delay was for thinking not for not seeing anything wrong then getting swayed or a word in his ear)
 
Wow, I missed the actual tackle and just saw close up replays, but just seen a wide angle and realised it was on the f***ing half way line. I atleast expected it to be on the edge of our box or something.

Cheating ficking ref was dying to give it.
 
Who is this scouse prick who's on commentary? He's clueless. Claiming that Brown gave the referee the chance of sending him off. What a load of shite.

yep, thats what i thought to be honest, i thought he was sizing up whether ot give a free kick or not, never imagined it would result in that.
