Well there was no way in gods green earth I was staying up another 3 and half hours  may try till tea tonight.

What times tea about 5?

edit: 440 well thats my aim for tonight then.

I lasted downstairs until half 3 then stuck SkyGo on my phone, headphones in and listened whilst lightly sleeping, occasionally jerking awake after hearing Bumble whooping.

I hate the highlights when we aren't batting as you never get to see the good the ballers do and just see the 4/6s[DOUBLEPOST=1385031504][/DOUBLEPOST]

I was like that for the wickets anyways get resting my eyes at the wrong moments

Lasted the whole day, from start till finish, don't think I can do it tonight though as I am knackered!

Full day for me. Switched forum off about half five cos I was talking to myself

Would have been nice if we had split the Haddington Johnson partnership early but the batsmen were always going to have a say. Looks like we need to be looking at 400 hundred plus.

Ya's are mad I tell thee. I think i'll try for 5 tonight woke up at 1030 so 2 hours later in the day than yesterday.

Mind i've got lectures 10-2 and i'm doing an assessed presentation. Fuck it.

Fell alseep at 2am, woke back up at 6 and watched last hour or so.

Brilliant day for England that.

It's a good batting track, why cant we knock up 450 first innings

Well our batting wasn't good in the summer so lets hope they are back to their best.

Hopefully cook and carberry bat how they've done so far on the tour.

Mind you - Watson should be embarrassed by the shot that he got out to.

Bailey still thinks he's playing ODI stuff anarl.

Bailey was set up superbly by anderson just got him wider and wider, so just seeing the wicket doesn't tell the whole story.

Warner and watsons dismissals were shite batting.

I've seen the build up to Baileys, 5th stump line as Atherton described it, very poor shot at this level.

Considering the chances that fell inches from hand, Aussie are lucky to get where they did. Excellent bowling performance from England on a wicket that didn't do much at all.

Got to worry about the mentality of the Aussie press/public as well. If you were going to pick a couple of players to wind up why would you pick KP and Broad, the two players who will thrive on it?

It's great isn't it  bunch of clowns.

Sections of the Gabba crowd barracked Broad constantly, booing him when he took the new ball in the morning and a tasteless chant of “Broad is a w*****” rang around the ground when he bowled. “I’m pleased my mum wasn’t in the stadium,” he said.

“But to be honest I was singing along at one stage, it gets in your head and you find yourself whistling it at the end of your mark. I’d braced myself to expect it and actually it was good fun, I actually quite enjoyed it if I’m being really honest.”

Profiling of Broad by the team psychologist revealed he is one of three players in the team who feeds off abuse. “It’s KP, myself and Matty Prior. So they picked the good men to go at,” said Broad. “It’s good fun and at the end of the day as a player you’re focusing on your routines not what the crowd are doing.

“But there’s something about Ashes cricket that brings the best out of me, there’s a little bit more niggle playing against the Aussies. I’m delighted with today’s performance. But looking to the future I want a lot more.”

Canny Day that given the cirumstances, would have happily taken it at the start of play. We're always stronger in attack though, means nowt if we don't bat well.

This is a good track, a good batting side would manage 400 + easily for about 7 wickets at most. Reckon we might skirt the 400's all out if in decent form, but something like 360 probably more likely on summer's form

Very lucky considering at lunch, they should have been 5 down rather than 2.
