Its an absolutely fantastic performance by Durham. Remember this is a Durham side tipped to be relegated by plenty of people and it isn't a vintage Durham side without the likes of Diva, Benks, Chanderpaul or any overseas pro of any kind. You would imagine that without the experience of the past Durham would need to rely on one or two proven class acts but were without their best player going into this game and against an extremely capable and confident side. This was a superb team effort, the batsmen did their bit but the bowlers taking 20 wickets did a truly brilliant job particularly when you take into account their lack of experience and Wood being unable to bowl.

All things considered one of Durham's greatest victories in modern history.

That was some win to beat a quality side like Yorkshire on a flat track is outstanding. I definitly thought Durham would be fighting to stay up this season and that was before Benks was ruled out for the season in early May. What is so pleasing is that so many key match winning performances are being made by or young home produced players. They have really stepped up this season. When you consider how well they have done in the one day stuff as well this could turn out to be Durhams finest season.
