Last nights antics on PF

Only seen highlights of last night so can't really comment, but again it was against a League One side. And yes, I think Johnson has been shite for us since he arrived, bar 2 or 3 good games - that's coming from someone with a season ticket who got to a handful of away games last season too. He was as abysmal as the rest of them last season. Nobody would turn down £11m for Larsson or Gardner or someone so what makes Johnson different?

Now I know your on a wind up. Are you seriously classifying AJ the same as Larsson and Gardner?

I feel like I'm been trolled by you.

RedGaunlet has an agenda against PDC, even before he became our manager.

That's not completely true. Redgauntlet has an agenda against everyone at SAFC, he's not picky. I don't think I've seen one decision made by anyone at the club that's made him happy.

For the first time I had to read the match thread last night because of no radio signal.
It was absolutely full of PDC haters or WUM.

I have never had anyone on ignore before but its getting so bad around here I'm starting with RedGauntlet and Toobs.

you will probably need to get the name right then...

We would all take that result in that manner every week regardless. We're not a top 4 team & we will lose, some need to deal with this!!

I think you have to take into account how fragile the confidence of the fans is.

Generally speaking, when supporting Sunderland, if you predict a struggle you will more than likely be correct

Throw in that Paulo is mental, and inexperienced in this league and almost every pundit says we are going down and it's fairly natural in my opinion that at first sign of trouble negativity will be rife.

It's hardly been a sparkling start, but not a disaster so for me there is currently just as much evidence we will struggle this season as there is that we will have no great relegation problems. I personally think it's 50:50 at present with the window still open

A internet football message board is always going to be a negative soundboard as well. It's a place to relieve frustration as much as anything.

Don't see the problem myself but it's more important the crowd in the ground remain positive as that really can effect individual players and results

Was hilarious

Can only assume it must be the high standards that the previous managers have set that are leading to a manager needing to go three games after his first window which hasn't even closed yet. Big shoes to fill.
And everyone should know he has a huge job, unfortunately due to funds can't buy a whole new team of quality players so have to make do with what we have for the time being, it's not gonna take one transfer window. Just look at Paul Lambert, he had some terrible results last season and they looked doomed, getting beat off Bradford, 8-0 off Chelsea etc but they stuck with him and now he seems to have a canny team. I read the other day someone saying 'he's had plenty of time, he's had all pre season to get the team gelling!'. It's gonna take time if it succeeds sadly, the majority of our time supporting Sunderland has been watching shit surely we can be a bit more patient?

This, he's always been negative, he really should find a new hobby as SAFC can't be good for his health.

They are just worried it's going tits up after mega optimism over the summer

You're right, it's three games. Saturday will be an interesting marker for sure

Attitudes in football can be so different. In Italy all we care about is the result.

Then the result...

And finally the result.

If the game wasn't good, the 3 points (or qualification) is always good enough. There will be discussions yes but most will just literally scratch their balls against more bad luck/bad games and go off and taunt rival supporters.

In football you don't need to win well, you need to win period.

Sunderland is through. This is the only thing the cup charts will record.

I firmly believe Sunderland will have a great cups runs and stay above water in the premiership.
