Dark Side of the Moon is awful.

This is no lazy attempt at fishing, I really think it's terrible. Lyrics which a teenage virgin would be ashamed of, set to music which is so pathetically overblown it screams THIS IS IMPORTANT so loudly that millions of people believed that it must be.

Aye, marra, I was aware that mine was going to be an unpopular opinion, owing to the thread title. But that first lyric you quoted is exactly what I was on about. It's nothing better than mediocre sixth form poetry.

There isn't a fine line between controversy and idiocy, besides which I'm not attempting either. You clearly think DSOTM is great, I don't.

The worst thing is the literal thing they do just in case the listener doesn't quite get what they mean. "Time" is about, er, time, so they start it with a load of clocks ticking and alarms going off. "Money" is all about, er, money, so they start it with the sound of cash registers. For fuck's sake, the theme tune to Are You Being Served did that better and earlier.
 
Bob Dylan is an over rated whiney nonce lookalike and Breaking Bad is nowt to get excited about. There I've said it.
I also think Tarantino is a grossly over rated one trick pony rip off merchant who has got way too far with some snappy dialogue, and the Sopranos was just a soap opera filled with miserable moaning unhappy people lile Eastenders with a bit of violence thrown in.
 
Stephane Sessegnon is one of the most overrated players in the history of SAFC.
Choosing to be a soldier doesn't make you a hero.
Nurses in hospitals generally do as little work as possible and their attitude stinks.
The Stone Roses' songs all sound the same - even worse than Scouting For Girls'.
Nobody really likes Radiohead, it was just cool to like them at the time and some people haven't moved on yet. They weren't groundbreaking in any way and are nothing special.
Spug is actually Roger on a wind up (okay this one is fact rather than opinion) stirring up more hits than Pete Waterman.

I don't mind them either to be honest. Elephant Stone is one of my favourite songs. But there's no denying the fact they are ridiculously 'samey'.

Understandable thought to a point, as at least in the eyes of the law Fathers are viewed as cash machines and any contact they may or may not have with the child is incidental.

Single mothers get more sympathy.
