Stuart Broad - Ashes Record

Not wanting to spoil to mood but after a certain poster on here slated the leader of our attack during the last Ashes series, I was quite keen to see how his opening partner fares in Ashes tests, he has played 10 tests against the enemy and..

25 wickets at an average of 51.96

Ouch

He's f***ing shite. Most overrated player of the decade. We'll, after Bopara. He's far too erratic with his line and legth and he's got a shocking spoilt twat attitude.

Always be a bowler who doesn't do much for most of a series the. Produces a sensational spell

To say he is "shite" is embarrassing

Broad should be dropped for Onions at Durham. He will get far more out of the pitch along with Anderson and Bresnan (who can still bowl a heavy ball).

I agree with this, however if Onions is brought in, it will be for Bresnan in my opinion.

He's not shite but I'm certainly not his biggest fan. Sometimes, his batting looks better than his bowling (he did get that big test match ton and is useful down the order) which isn't the way it should be. He needs to get his bowing strike rate and average down.

Tom Moody on Sky just hoyed some stats up on the Verdict and they don't show Broad or Bresnan's average and strike up in a great light when compared to Harris and Siddle.

We usually dangerously over rely on Jimmy and Swann.

if anyone is dropped for Onions then youre right, it will be Bresnan.

To be honest, Id prefer to drop them both and play Tremlett and Onions. Will never happen as they like batting down to 9

Stats don't lie....... When was the last time he had a good series against decent opposition? Shit in India, shit against SA, shit against Australia.

We should be selectors.

India at home, when he packed in bowling short rubbish after he was tagged the "enforcer". And since then he has one good session a series to keep the pressure off him

Broad doesn't get dropped, he is only ever "missing through injury".

Friends in high places. His Dad has remained close friends with the selectors over the years and is purely the reason Broad has remained in the team despite dozens of below-average performances. Strange selection policy within the ECB, its a case of yes-men and do-gooders, hence why KP was dropped as captain and replaced with good schoolboys in Cook and Strauss.
