Certainly doesnt lend himself to the mic.

However, he did ram home how everyone needed to be patient when many were starting to flap.

Give him a chance man.

Like everything in life, you need a bit of practice.

Botham has had plenty of practice and he is still useless at it

Bumble, Nasser and Atherton are the only ones I really enjoy listening to.

Hussain is brilliant.

Best of the lot

genuinely funny as well. I remember when Hussain joined Sky and he seemed to naturally fit in with the rest, even Botham who he had obviously had a run in or two with. Strauss seems a little suspicious of the rest of the pundits and too loyal to be critical of any of Englands players, tactics, set up etc etc. That is fair enough but it doesnt make him particularly interesting to listen to. As someone else said, its early days so he should probably be given a bit more of a chance

Loved his crack when Botham (wrongly) claimed 70% of all men were colour blind. () It then cut to the clear skies and Nasser pipes up with "Beautiful green skies today"

All you need is Nasser, athers, bumble and botham. Them four could could do the show on their own. Top class. Love the lot of them.

Warne and Holding are both good and offer a bowler's perspective.

Although Bumble is unquestionably excellent, his bromance with Anderson is becoming obsessive.

Nasser is the best, genuinely interesting things to say - which is unusual for Sky. He's that good he could do a small support slot on TMS.

Agnew and Boycott are a different class to anything on Sky.

Disagree there. In terms of insight the likes of Nasser and Atherton leave him for dead. Boycott appeals to some because he talks like the man on the street.

Radio and TV Commentary are totally different and you need a different approach. I probably listened to more of this test that I saw of it and thoroughly enjoyed listening to Agnew, Boycott and surprisingly.......Glenn McGrath.

Nowt wrong with Strauss but you wonder just how many Ex-England captains sky can fit in that commentary box.

I love Michael Holding as well.

He's alright. His stubborness and stupidity regarding the DRS is starting to get on my tits.

I see he is in the latest edition of Wisden India (didn't know there was one actually, read it in the paper) calling England hypocrites re Broad not walking and comparing it to Ian Bell being let off by India for his run out where India allowed him to bat on a couple of years back during the 4-0 home series.

should give the fella a bit more time before passing judgement. not all good commentators are naturals.
