arnly 2-3 a day though and thats provided they don't get stuck in traffic.

You've never seen my posts on why are there so many Mags in Durham. Its 15 minutes by train to Newcastle 55 minutes in the bus to Sunderland.

What's all that about? Can't even get a train from Sunderland to Durham. 55 minutes or 15 in the car. That is a joke and how are you meant to do the hour back after a night on the ale?

get the 23:04 and get off in Houghton for a piss and a swift half before continuing your journey on the 23:29 (23:57 Houghton).

Or tie a fvcking knot in it!

They've just ripped a perfectly good line up that with a bit of investment could have had a metro or train service between the two cities. Anywhere else in the county the investment would have been found - but not the NE.

i was in the same boat a while back. i just assumed there was a 20 minute bus or something. started looking and couldnt beleive that the quickest way is nigh on an hour, stopping off at every little tin pot shit hole on the way.

surely they could put a direct bus on up the 690, park lane to durham. would be quicker for the east coast main line too, rather than getting the metro to newcastle

It's unbelievable and I'll tell you what, Newcastle would never let it happen to them. Gap in the market for Dave Kingsley, for sure.

If by T/C you mean town centre, can I just point out that Durham is actually a city.

And on top of that, it's not much slower to get a bus from Newcastle to Durham. X21 takes 50 minutes, and the 21 just over an hour.

Don't get me started again on NE transport, pleased I never use it.

Ours to Park lane, 19-21mileish. An hour 20ish, stopping fecking everywhere.
