ECB have summat to answer for imo. I know that they class 50/50 and 20/20 the same in the central contract. But surely they couldve made an exception as KP is class and pivotal in us winning our only world trophy ever. Esp as he wanted to play in 20/20's.

Didnt they allow Strauss to do it?

Aye, Strauss played 50 over, but not 20 over cricket.

I assume in part because he wouldn't have been selected for T20 anyway.

Its just if he wants to earn some corn then fair play, who are we to say owt. Its a small window for players to earn as much as they can.

All he wanted to do was drop 50/50. Which he is entitled to do as the amount of cricket the players play is unbelievable. The ECB rinse the fuck out of them and line their own pockets.

Im not saying KP is not at fault aswell, he is a arrogant sod who wants his cake and eat it aswell. Its just I want him playing in our 20/20 side. So if the ECB had to eat some of Kp's shit then so be it. Its just I feel that the ECB like other players shit but not KP's.

Lets be honest here, he won't duff Test cricket for the IPL. He cut it short just gone to make sure he was available for the First Test.

the amount of cricket modern internationals are asked to play is ridiculous, top players (especially quicks) bodies are constantly breaking down. Take broad as an example how many injuries has he had every chance that he will be burnt out before his time. They are constantly away from home and fuck knows some of them may well want to see their families a little more often. Yes KP does earn a great deal of money but some of the money he gets from the IPL is paid to the ECB and its hard to see its about money when his central contract will have certainly been downgraded, apparently the contracts are to be renegociated between PCA and ECB this september

Im certain that he will play IPL next year just as Im certain he will cut it short should england be involved in a series just like this year
