The position of a goalkeeper's arse being a critical determinant as to where fault lies with a volley from 7 yards out, as we know.

Meth. Head.

with the arrival of Bristow i can see this thread going stratospheric...

Having watched again, he's partially culpable for the 2nd goal, a keeper being assertive in that position would have been out to punch the cross but anyone blaming him for the first goal is either mental or on a wind up.

just had another look at the second...worse than I remember it....Davies was actually a yard or so inside the six yard box....v v v poor. Gordon had loads of time to get there.......

he was too far wide, i used his arse:lol: so dummies like you could see

he was a yard too far to the left and a yard too far back, i played in goal sinve i was 8

if he would have been where i'm saying the ball would have hit him

call names all you like i''ve plenty in the fridge

You're dangerously close to agreeing with Andy Townsend, which - I think we all agree - is a synonym for 'being wrong'. ;-)

Quite how anyone can say either goal is only the keepers fault is beyond me.

For the second goal, I can think of many keepers that would have come for it, most would have expected a centre half to deal with it.
